Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for a Data Scientist, located at any DePuy Synthes site location.

This position will report directly to the PMS/CQ Data Analytics Performance Manager.

Purpose: The Data Scientist will be responsible for post market surveillance data analytics projects for DePuy Synthes which span across multiple orthopaedics product platforms such as Trauma & Extremities, Joint Reconstruction, Spine, Sports Medicine, Craniomaxillofacial & Thoracic, Biomaterials and VELYS Enabling Technology.

As a Data Scientist, you will analyze large post market datasets to support the identification of post market quality issues and trends.

The Data Scientist will collaborate with a team of engineers, data scientists, and clinicians to support routine post market surveillance processes (e.g.

complaint trending, quality system documentation, corrective action, signal detection, audit, documentation, analytics etc.) as well as ad-hoc projects.

You will be responsible for:


* Complete analysis of post-market and related datasets (e.g., product complaints, malfunctions, adverse events, capital equipment service records, clinical reviews, registries, post-market studies, literature) to identify safety and quality signals and translate findings into actionable recommendations.


* Perform data manipulation, automation, and reproducible analyses using R (including Shiny), Python, and SQL; create scripts and pipelines to streamline routine processes.


* Apply a broad set of data science techniques - data visualization, pre-processing, categorical analysis, text mining, statistical methodologies, data science strategies, data management, AI, etc.
