We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Scientist, Viral Vector Development - API RNA Modalities, to be based on-site in San Diego, CA.

Purpose:

The Senior Scientist, Viral Vector Development - API Cell and Gene Therapy will lead and support RNA process development to support early and late phase programs.

This individual will also support and partner with colleagues in Therapeutics Discovery, MSAT and other functions to ensure the alignment of manufacturing processes across sites.

You will be responsible for:


* Working closely with partners, develop robust, scalable, and well characterized unit operations for USP and DSP procedures for short and long RNA molecule


* Design, execute and analyze experiments for existing and novel methods, processes, and equipment technologies


* Proactively investigates, proposes, and develops improvements to existing processes or develops new processes.
