We are searching for the best talent for a hybrid Pharmacy Technician in Pittsburgh, PA.

Purpose:

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing medications for patient use under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist, in accordance with federal and state laws, and Patient Service Center policies.

Responsibilities:


* Assists pharmacist(s) with pharmacy fulfillment activities for cold chain and ambient products


* Communicates with staff about sufficient inventory quantities regarding medication delivery


* Assist in inventory audits and management on as needed basis


* Adhere to REMS program guidelines and requirements


* Fulfillment of prescriptions including, but not limited to: product receipt, lot tracking, and shipping coordination


* Accurately enter patient prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system


* Perform prescription and patient data entry


* Manage prescriber and patient shipment set-up portals


* Complete annual/biannual requirements to maintain an active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Registration


* Additional projects and activities assigned

Physical Requirements:


* Able to stand for extended periods throughout the shift


* Perform repetitive tasks such as packing prescription orders


* Able to handle frequent bending, reaching, and movement within the work area


* Must be able to lift and carry packages up to 10-30 pounds
