Rotor Wing Pilot-in-Command The Pilot-in-Command has command of, and the responsibility for the medical crew members, passengers, cargo, the safe conduct of the flight, and provides guidance and coordinates the activities of every individual connected with all phases of the aircraft operation.

Directly represents Apollo and plays a key role in customer service and quality communications with people with whom the pilot directly interacts.

A day in the Life: Retain the final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft.Ensure the assigned aircraft is airworthy and all proper documents are on board the aircraft.Make decisions as necessary to accept, reject, or terminate the flight, or deviation from a planned destination when operating conditions dictate.Adhere to proper Crew Resource Management (CRM) techniques and will seek input from all medical crew members prior to rendering a decision.Positively represent Apollo to customers, employees and patients through action, behavior, and communication.Actively participate in the Apollo Safety Management System.Ensure the proper amount and grade of fuel is loaded on the aircraft.Obtain briefing on the purpose of the flight, weather, operating procedures and any special instructions, and plan...
