Position Summary

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all phases of our heavy highway general contracts, primarily MassDOT projects; from award through final closeout.

Projects may include roadway reconstruction, highway and bridge construction, milling and paving, site work, utility installation, drainage improvements, traffic management, and other public infrastructure work.

The Project Manager ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements, company standards, and client expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



* Project Management

+ Manage multiple heavy highway construction projects simultaneously.



*
+ Review plans, specifications, contracts, permits, and project requirements.



*
+ Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls.



*
+ Prepare and monitor project production goals and performance metrics.



*
+ Coordinate resources, equipment, subcontractors, and materials to meet project objectives.



*
+ Lead project startup, progress, and closeout meetings.



*
+ Plan, schedule and coordinate subcontractors.



* Financial Management



*
+ Prepare and manage project budgets and cost reports.



*
+ Monitor job costs, labor productivity, equipment utilization, and material expenditures.



*
+ Review subcontractor and supplier invoices for accuracy and approval.



*
+ Prepare monthly billings, estimates, and revenue projections.



*
+ Identify and manage cost risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.



*
+ Develop and negotiate change orders and contract modifications.



* Client and Stakeholder Relations



*
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, inspectors, municipalities, and agencies.
