Medical Hill Healthcare is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Infection Prevention (IP) Nurse to join our clinical leadership team.

This essential role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the facility's infection prevention and control program to ensure a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities


* Develop, implement, and maintain the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program.


* Conduct ongoing infection surveillance and analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvement.


* Investigate suspected outbreaks and coordinate appropriate interventions.


* Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, state, and local infection prevention regulations.


* Educate and train staff on infection prevention practices, isolation procedures, hand hygiene, and PPE usage.


* Monitor antibiotic stewardship initiatives and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.


* Conduct infection control rounds, audits, and performance improvement activities.


* Maintain accurate infection surveillance data and prepare required reports.


* Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and public health agencies as needed.


* Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.


* Serve as the facility's infection prevention resource for residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications


* Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.


* Previous experience in Infection Prevention, Infection Control, or Skilled Nursing preferred.


* Infection Prevention certification (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain.


* Strong knowledge of CDC, CMS, and state infection prevention guidelines.


* Experience with surveillance, outbreak management, and regulatory compliance.


* Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.


* Ability to educate, mentor, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
