Shipping Technician - 3rd Shift
As a Shipping Technician at Superior Tire & Rubber Corp., you are responsible for the accurate and timely handling of materials, as well as all shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes within the Main Distribution Center (MDC).
This position plays a key role in maintaining warehouse efficiency, safety, and product quality.
The role exists across multiple levels (I, II, and III), reflecting increasing levels of skill, independence, and leadership responsibility.
Note: This position exists at multiple Superior Tire & Rubber Corp.
locations, including Plant 1 and the Main Distribution Center (MDC).
Core responsibilities and qualifications are consistent companywide; however, duties may vary slightly by site.

Essential Job Functions: Shipping Technician I Entry Level Technician Performs basic warehouse tasks under close supervisionGains working knowledge of MDC layout and material flowFollows safety procedures and company policiesAssists with picking, packing, staging, and labeling of outbound shipmentsSupports basic receiving duties and physical material movementOperates forklift and material handling equipment safely (certification required) Shipping Technician II Experienced Level Technician Proficient in core MDC functions including shipping, receiving, and cycle countsWorks independently with minimal supervisionAccurately enters transactions into the ERP system (Syteline)Assists with training new hires and cross-functional task coverageTroubleshoots minor inventory or order issuesMaintains high reliability and professional communication across shifts Shipping Technician III Advanced Level Technician Acts as a shift-level resource and informal lead for team membersExecutes inventory reconciliation and advanced ERP transactionsMentors Level I and II Technicians and supports skill developmentDrives process improvement initiatives and participates in safety auditsCoordinates with Shipping Specialist and Supervisor on daily workflow prioritiesDemonstrates deep understanding of warehouse processes, safety compliance, and quality standards Growth & Advancement: Shipping Technician roles provide a structured path for advancement through Levels I, II, and III.
Promotion is based on skill development, reliability, ERP proficiency, and leadership readiness.
Level III Technicians may advance to Shipping Specialist or other leadership roles within the MDC.
