Position: Heavy Equipment Operator (Haul Truck Driver) Reports to: Process Supervisor

Shift: Rotating Shifts Pay: $25/hour+

What you'll be contributing:

Under the direction of the Crusher Supervisor, maintain all crusher/clay/raw storage equipment, buildings, and grounds areas by completing assigned inspections, housekeeping and lubrication schedules for these areas.



* Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.


* Schedule/perform lubrication and housekeeping of equipment operated daily


* Assist in safety inspections and compliance with environmental regulations and hazard controls as required by company, MSHA, EPA and TCEQ


* Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift safety and operational inspections on each piece of equipment operated; correcting problems by use of best judgment or notifying supervisor


* Safely inspect belts and feeders in work area


* Assist with Crusher and plant repairs from time to time


* Ability to operate various sizes of haul trucks.

(CAT 777, CAT 785, and Komatsu 785)


* Knowledge of rock conveying and crushing equipment and associated hazards


* Relieve Quarry personnel as needed to maintain production demands

* Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.


* Willingness to learn; training will be provided.


* High school graduation or equivalent is required


* Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience preferred


* Valid Driver's License and the ability to safely operate large vehicles


* Must be a self-starter able to work with little or no supervision


* Ability to perform all duties in a safe manner


* Ability to perform minor maintenance


* Ability to reason through operational issues as they arise and resolve them or communicate with others
