Scope of Responsibility: This position performs production within prescribed codes, and according to prescribed procedures, specifications, and drawings.

As an applicant, a 2F Evaluation will be administered to determine skillset and knowledge base.

Must be able to pass and qualify to a GMAW 2G weld test that meets visual acceptance criteria before being offered the Welder C position.Bend testing will take place after accepting the job offer.

Essential Duties: Knowledge of general safety guidelines.

Sabre specific safety guidelines will be taught on site.Wears required personal protective equipment (PPE).Works Independently with minimal supervision on assignments as directed by the Supervisor.

Displays a strong sense of ownership for work.Flexible and Adaptable: has the ability to readily switch tasks when directed.Sabres quality expectations and application in the workplace will be taught during onboarding and On the Job Training.Basic understanding of blueprints and weld symbols.Adjust welding machines within parameters of welding procedure specifications (WPS).

Frequently pushes, pulls and lift, up to 50 pounds.Uses oxy-fuel torch to pre-heat parts to be welded in accordance with welding procedure specifications (WPS).Uses GMAW welding process (Spray Arc transfer) to weld components or assemblies.Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, and grinders at various times to clean weld joints and finished welds.

Uses magnetic drills to drill various size holes on pole assembly as required by drawings.Visually inspects his/her work to ensure that welds comply with applicable drawings and code requirements.Uses a weld gauge to measure weld sizes.Uses mechanical rolling equipment to rotate sections to optimize positioning of weld joints.Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management as knowledge base increases.

Work in your shift as scheduled Getting along with coworkers Position Requirements: Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred Experience: GMAW (Spray Arc Transfer) welding experience preferred.
