Role: The Instructional System Designer (ISD) shall design, develop, and implement computer-based training (CBT) solutions for CBP/AMO.

This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and technical teams to create engaging and effective training programs that meet the agencys mission-critical needs.

The ISD shall be responsible for the full instructional design lifecycle, including needs analysis, course design, content development, and evaluation.

This role requires a strong understanding of DHS, CBP, and AMO compliance standards (e.g., Section 508), and the ability to deliver high-quality training solutions on time.

Duties: The Instructional System Designer will: Design and develop computer-based training (CBT) courses using instructional design models such as ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) or SAM (Successive Approximation Model).

Use e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Lectora to develop CBT modules.

Create engaging and interactive eLearning content, including simulations, scenarios, quizzes, and multimedia elements.

Develop project plans, storyboards, scripts, timelines, milestones, and prototypes for CBT modules.

Ensure training materials are aligned with adult learning principles and instructional best practices.

Ensure deliverables adhere to Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) e-learning compliance.

Ensure compatibility with Learning Management System (LMS) and compliance with SCORM, Experience API (xAPI), or Aviation Industry Computer-Based Training Committee (AICC) standards.

Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and validate content for training programs in person or via emails/calls depending on priority levels and needs.
