Work you'll do/Responsibilities

As a Consultant at Deloitte, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high-volume backend systems that support critical banking operations.

Design and Execute Test Strategies


* Design, develop, and maintain high-performance .NET backend batch processing services for core banking operations.


* Develop and enhance batch processors such as SCBatchProcessor, FeeProcessor, OverdraftEligibilityProcessor, and SCCEStatementProcessor.


* Design and optimize SQL Server stored procedures using staging tables, keyset pagination, and batch processing patterns to efficiently process millions of customer records.


* Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving SQL performance, data processing failures, parameter overflow exceptions, vendor connectivity issues, and ActiveBatch job scheduling failures.


* Monitor batch job execution, application health, and SLA compliance using Datadog logs, APM traces, dashboards, and custom alerts.


* Perform code reviews and collaborate with architects and development teams to design scalable, maintainable, and compliance-driven backend solutions.


* Develop reusable components and shared infrastructure libraries to improve consistency across multiple batch processing services.


* Support database change management and performance tuning for high-volume financial workflows.


* Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, Jira ticket management, release planning, and cross-team coordination.


* Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, implement permanent fixes, and continuously improve system reliability.


* Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.
