Dietary Aide (Full-Time)

Job Overview

Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Dietary Aide to join our culinary team.

You will prepare and serve nutritious meals to our residents while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

This position offers a stable, repeating schedule with competitive hourly pay.

Compensation & Schedule



* Wage: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour


* Schedule: 4 days on, 2 days off (rotating cycle)


* Shifts: Varied schedules including AM and PM shifts

Key Responsibilities



* Assist in preparing food items following specific dietary menus.


* Set up dining rooms, tray lines, and resident meal carts.


* Serve meals to residents politely and efficiently.


* Clean kitchen equipment, wash dishes, and sanitize work areas.


* Deliver snacks and beverages to designated nursing stations.


* Dispose of dietary waste according to facility procedures.


* Store food and supplies properly to maintain freshness and safety.

Qualifications



* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


* Previous experience in food service or healthcare facilities is a plus.


* Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.


* Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude toward the elderly.


* Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.


* Reliability to work a rotating "4 on, 2 off" shift schedule.
