Position Summary:

As Director of Technology (Software Engineering), you will be responsible for developing next generation software products, tools, and capabilities.

A successful candidate will have a strong background in software engineering (development, quality assurance, data capture and transformation), software development methodologies, and project management.

As a leader with excellent communication skills, you will be responsible for 6 - 8 direct reports and an overall organization of 50+ IT professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

Own and deliver your product roadmap

Participate and improve software development processes and delivery, such as software design review, code review, code coverage, automation, performance, and monitoring
\t\t

Attract, retain, and motivate high performing engineering teams to continuously innovate, improve and think differently
\t\t

Setting and executing the short to long term vision for software engineering teams to support ALLDATA's technology applications
\t\t


* \t
Leverage partnership with ALLDATA and AutoZone head quarter (HQ) in the USA and collaborate with IT/business partners to maximize achievement of business goals
\t\t

Cultivate an environment where all employees respect and adhere to ALLDATA values of putting customer first and striving for exceptional performance
\t\t

Effectively resolve technical or operational impediments impacting project/product delivery, systems performance/effectiveness, or general IT Operations and Infrastructure
\t\t

Participate as a member of the IT management team in functional activities such as planning, budgeting, special projects, and other initiatives
\t

Skills and Requirements:
\t


* \t
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, Master's degree preferred
\t\t


* \t
At least 10+ years of hands-on Software Development experience in Java/Javascript technologies building full stack applications, with at least five years as a Manager leading multiple engineering teams.

Experience with Mongo, SOLR, Oracle required
\t\t

You have demonstrated success building highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable software products.

Specific Experience around SaaS and API's Architecture desirable
\t\t

Experience with Agile development
\t\t

Experience influencing others, advocating for technical excellence while being open to change
\t\t

You are resilient, comfortable in ambiguous situations with the ability to approach challenges from multiple perspectives and can make decision quickly after considering competing viewpoints
