Implements defined overall production standards and oversees and manages all production operations within conjugate manufacturing.

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for:



* You will lead a team of Biochemists that manufacture bioconjugate components of immunoassay reagents


* You will support production scheduling, purchasing of externally sourced raw materials, and ensuring that production processes are completed expediently without sacrificing quality


* You will assist with problem solving and technical troubleshooting of conjugate manufacturing processes and associated equipment

* You have very good interpersonal skills and are able to effectively lead a production team as well as interface with external suppliers, internal technical stakeholders, and others in the customer environment and you will show team orientation, communication skills, and customer orientation


* You will demonstrate expertise in protein biochemistry, especially bioconjugation techniques


* You will utilize your expertise in size exclusion chromatography, including mastery of FPLC operation and troubleshooting


* You will perform manufacturing resource planning, especially familiarity with SAP PP and MM modules.

You will monitor key performance indicators for production timeliness and customer satisfaction and ensure Class A Manufacturing performance.


* You will have experience in Lean manufacturing and help promote Lean philosophy to improve productivity while also minimizing waste

Required skills to have for the success of this role


* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry, or equivalent experience required


* Minimum of 5-8 years reagent manufacturing experience; including experience in a GMP/GDP environment


* Demonstrated leadership experience, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor
