Your Role:

As a Project Engineer, you will lead a diverse portfolio of engineering capital projects from concept through commissioning and handover.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with site and regulatory standards.

Your Responsibilities:


* Lead engineering projects valued between £50K and £2M from initial concept through completion, commissioning, and handover.


* Develop project scopes, business cases, budgets, schedules, and technical solutions in collaboration with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, and Maintenance.


* Manage project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.


* Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and engineering partners throughout the project lifecycle.


* Oversee procurement activities, project budgets, forecasting, and capital expenditure.


* Support commissioning, qualification, validation, and successful handover of new equipment and facilities to operations.


* Identify and manage project risks while ensuring compliance with engineering, safety, and regulatory requirements.


* Provide technical engineering support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):


* Degree qualified in Engineering.


* At least 7 years' experience delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment.


* Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external contractors.


* Experience working on capital, process, refurbishment, utilities, or chemical engineering projects.


* Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, biotechnology, or FMCG.


* Experience managing capital projects from concept through completion.


* Strong project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.


* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
