Tooling Engineer - Aerospace Manufacturing (Cudahy, CA)

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in Cudahy is currently looking for a Tooling Engineer to join our team! This role will be reporting to our Operations Manager at our Aerospace Manufactory in Cudahy, CA.

Annual Rate: $90K - $130K DOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Develop tool life cycle program


* Develop data for tool life prediction


* Maintain / track tool life


* Review and analyze tooling 3D scans


* Perform visual and dimensional inspection of tools


* Maintain clear and organized documentation

Qualifications


* Associate's degree and minimum 3 years experience, Bachelor's degree in Engineering with minimum 1 year experience


* Understanding of GD&T


* Proficient with 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred)


* Familiar with tool manufacturing techniques (i.e.

machining, welding, grinding)

Preferred Skills


* Experience with 3D scanning / structured light inspection


* Experience with PMM or CMM inspection


* CAD/CAM experience (Gibb's CAM, MasterCAM, etc.)
