About the Role

Tice Valley Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis.

In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the nutritional health and overall well-being of our residents through individualized dietary planning, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resident-focused, and passionate about improving quality of life through proper nutrition and clinical dietary care.

Key Responsibilities

Nutritional Assessment & Care Planning


* Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents


* Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans


* Evaluate residents' dietary needs based on medical conditions, preferences, and physician orders

Clinical Collaboration


* Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, speech therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to support resident health outcomes


* Participate in care conferences and provide nutrition recommendations

Dietary Compliance & Documentation


* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements


* Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility dietary standards

Resident & Family Support


* Educate residents and families on therapeutic diets and nutritional needs


* Address dietary concerns with professionalism and compassion

Food Service Oversight


* Collaborate with dietary and kitchen staff to ensure menu accuracy, nutritional adequacy, and resident satisfaction


* Monitor food service practices for quality and safety standards

Qualifications


* Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required


* Licensed in the state of California preferred


* Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, or long-term care preferred


* Strong communication, organizational, and clinical assessment skills


* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
