Join the Payments Controller team within the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB).

As a Product Controller, you will help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the firm's books and records, with a focus on general ledger, financial reporting, and a strong control environment.

You will partner with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Technology, and the business to support month-end close activities, perform analytical review of financial results, and drive adherence to firmwide control standards.

You will join a high-impact Payments Controller team supporting a dynamic and growing global business.

Key Responsibilities

- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

- Perform analytical review of P&L and Balance Sheet, identifying key drivers, trends, and potential risks

- Prepare financial reporting and support management commentary for internal stakeholders

- Ensure adherence to legal entity control standards, including substantiation, documentation, and governance requirements

- Support marketing and business accrual processes to ensure completeness and accuracy of expense recognition

- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve control and reporting issues in a timely and accurate manner

- Assist in strengthening controls supporting financial reporting and new business initiatives

Required Qualifications

- 2-4+ years of experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or a related field

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Finance, Business, or a related discipline

- Basic understanding of financial statements (Income Statement and Balance Sheet) and financial accounting concepts

- Experience supporting month-end close processes in a financial services environment

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and control

- Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships

- Working knowledge and basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to legal entity reporting and control frameworks

- Familiarity with marketing accruals or expense management processes

- Basic understanding of data analytics and emerging AI concepts applied to finance

- Experience with CDGL, Anaplan/Essbase, and Paragon

- Experience with financial reporting tools and systems
