The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity The Pipeline Technician's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Provide relief coverage for operations
* Performing or assisting with routine maintenance of electric motors, pumps such as bearing and mechanical seal replacements, alignments, couplings, sumps, fans, drain piping modifications, etc.
* Troubleshoot problems with control systems and complex equipment associated with generators and control and pump stations.
* Maintain, modify, and troubleshoot Distributive Control Systems (DCS) and/or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to maximize use of control technology and minimize installation and operating costs.
* Maintain advanced monitoring devices (gas, flame, or fire detectors, vibration, and temperature monitors).
* Perform routine maintenance on 2400/4160 vac electric motors from 500-6000 hp including medium voltage switchgear and VFD.
* Thorough knowledge of electrical codes and is familiarity with AC voltage (120-480) three phase and single phase plus 24 VDC is required.
* Maintenance on other mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, valve actuators (electric and manual), etc.
* Assist with replacement of pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment as needed.
* Maintain and operate custody transfer measurement facilities and perform product quality control tests.
* Participate and successfully complete training programs, process safety management reviews, and safety meetings required to comply with state and federal regulations.
* Must meet the requirements of the Company's Operator Qualification program.
* Reviews procedures as necessary to ensure compliance of all company and industry standards to meet all regulatory agency requirements.
* Performs remedial and preventative maintenance and maintains facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices inside and outside of the facilities.
