Job Summary
Investigate human rights and ethics related complaints.
Interview all parties involved to gather information regarding complaints.
Analyze collected data and draft document requests, questionnaires, and subpoenas.
Prepare detailed written reports evaluating all relevant evidence within the applicable legal framework of the claims and defenses asserted.
Prepare recommendations regarding whether violations of ordinances have occurred.
Negotiate settlements when both sides agree.
Conduct audits, training, and outreach.
Minimum Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and
• Two (2) years in conducting investigations related to compliance matters, alleged misconduct, or ethics violations or directly related experience or
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position.
Candidates who are selected to fill safety-sensitive positions must pass a required drug test as part of the pre-employment background check process.

*Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by either the World Education Services (WES) or Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to quickly acquire and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the relevant Local, State, and Federal ordinances, laws, and standards.
• Ability to elicit information, evidence, and testimony through telephonic, video, and in-person interviews, written questionnaires, and interrogations.
• Ability to act professionally in all situations, serving as a mediator between various entities and individuals.
• Ability to establish and maintain confidentiality and trust, exercising discretion with confidential witnesses, documents, and matters in the investigation process.
• Skill in interviewing and negotiating litigants, communicating investigation plans and analysis to leadership, representing the Bureau/Department during outreach, and conducting training in a professional and effective manner.
