Job Summary
Utilizes hands-on New York and/or New Jersey real estate and title experience within a collaborative team in a fast-paced real estate environment.
Reviews title work, assesses transactional risk, and contributes to well-reasoned commercial and residential underwriting decisions.
Job Responsibilities
* Reviews and evaluates title searches, reports, related documents & insurance risk factors and must be able to justify and communicate underwriting requirements to counsel for buyers, sellers and lenders on real estate transactions
* Responsible for evaluating risk, underwriting considerations, and exposures to determine acceptability while utilizing thorough understanding of title insurance policies and endorsements
* Determines premiums, terms and conditions based on established rules, rates, and guidelines
* Assists in resolving complex residential title and loan closing scenarios
* May analyze data such as financial conditions of the organization, participation percentage, type of industry, characteristics of employee groups, or past claim experience
* Performs a range of assignments and may lead projects within own discipline
* Applies working knowledge of business and best practices gained through understanding of key business drivers and recognition of how own area integrates within organization
* Works within broad guidelines and polices to accomplish objectives and goals
* Solves moderately complex to complex problems and analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgement and precedents
