About the Role
Provides technical maintenance and recovery support to the firm's information technology systems.

Uses a variety of testing tools and techniques to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems associated with the system's hardware and software.

Interfaces with vendors and maintenance providers to service and maintain the system, implements necessary measures to limit the system's downtime, and provides technical support to optimize system performance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities 


* Provides technical maintenance and recovery support to the firm’s local or wide area networks and technology systems. 


* Perform support and administration for network related systems.  Test and troubleshoot to resolve complex technical problems associated with the system’s hardware and software.

Complete work orders as assigned.


* Perform security-related tasks for the network and related systems.  Monitor and perform tape backups per rotation and department policy.


* Create and maintain proper system and process documentation.  Complete change control documentation.


* Interface with vendors and maintenance providers to service and maintain the system.


* Provide technical assistance to other members and areas of the Technology department, including Network Support and Telecommunications.


* Provide reports to management, including system performance and incident/downtime reporting.  Furnish planning reports for areas of responsibility.
