Maintenance Technician I
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all equipment products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Duties include preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment as needed.
Responsibilities
1.
Participate in all safe start meetings.
2.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
3.
Follow 5S standards to maintain work area.
4.
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
5.
Perform regular preventative maintenance based on PM schedule.
6.
Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation
7.
Complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified.
8.
Trained to set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools.
9.
Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
10.
Assists with the installation of new production equipment and required infrastructure
11.
Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions
Experience and Education
* HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
* Related degree from a technical college, a plus
* 1 year of proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or internship while attending technical college preferred
Skills and Abilities
* Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficiently
* Ability to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Average proficiency in mathematics
* Good visual acuity
