Director of Staff Development (DSD) - LVN

Confidential Skilled Nursing Facility - Central Valley, CA
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 annually

A progressive and fast-paced skilled nursing facility in California's Central Valley is seeking a passionate Director of Staff Development (LVN) to lead clinical education, training, and professional development for our nursing team.

This role is ideal for a clinically strong LVN who enjoys mentoring others, building strong teams, and driving quality care through education and compliance.

You will play a key role in shaping the knowledge and performance of nursing staff while ensuring regulatory standards and best practices are consistently maintained.

What You'll Be Responsible For


* Leading and coordinating the facility's clinical education and staff development programs


* Planning and conducting new employee orientation and competency-based training


* Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and facility training requirements


* Providing ongoing in-service education for nursing staff


* Monitoring and tracking licenses, certifications, and required clinical competencies


* Supporting nursing leadership with quality improvement and infection prevention education


* Assisting with survey preparedness and regulatory compliance


* Coaching and mentoring staff to strengthen clinical skills and professional growth


* Maintaining accurate training documentation and records

Qualifications


* Current LVN license in California (required)


* Previous experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care


* Experience with staff education, training, or preceptorship strongly preferred


* Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations


* Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
