Electrical Engineering Supervisor
What is the role?
This position is accountable for, but is not limited to, supervising and managing engineers participating in the engineering of custom Low Voltage Draw Out Switchgear orders.
This person will be leading a team environment of application engineers & electrical designers.
The supervisor will provide design estimates, assign and schedule tasks to accomplish the day-to-day operation's goals of the order engineering department.
They will perform periodic performance reviews of employees as well as generate development plans for the team and Involve in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding time-to-time.
The responsibility will drive you to conduct activities like
* Understanding the detailed requirements and expectations of your customer.
* Prepare the capacity planning and availability for utilization of the resources.
* Track orders to make sure that quality, on-time delivery and productivity are to the expected level.
* Responsible for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
* Update the weekly report of the activities of the application engineering team to the engineering manager.
* Prepare monthly performance reports for the team to share with management.
* Responsible for people's competency management and career development.
* Support the plant during the manufacturing of the equipment.
* Technical support to internal and external customers
Skill set
* Knowledge on LV gear products like LVDO, PZ4, MCC, Breakers, Altistart, Panelboards, Drives, etc.
* Proven skill sets in creating schematic, BOM, etc
* Software knowledge on CAD packages like Autocad.
* Knowledge on electrical standards UL, NEMA, etc.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to work across cultures.
* Strong interpersonal and management skills.
* Expertise in MS Excel, PPT and Word.
* Supervisory skills with ability to manage multiple product verticals.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills.
