Maintenance Mechanic - Aerospace Manufacturing (2nd Shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm) (Cudahy, CA)

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in Cudahy is currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd Shift (2:30pm -11:00pm) to join our team! This role will be reporting to our Operations Manager at our Aerospace Manufactory in Cudahy, CA.

Hourly Rate: $27 - $31 DOE + $2.50 Shift Differential

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES


* Troubleshoot & repair various pieces of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic equipment


* Ensure that safety-related work orders are given top priority to ensure the safety of all CPP team members


* Perform scheduled preventative/predictive maintenance and emergency repairs


* Work on fabrication projects for all areas of the plant using a lathe/mill and various pieces of welding equipment


* Must be able to work overtime and weekends

QUALIFICATIONS


* 3 years of previous experience in a Technical Maintenance role in an industrial manufacturing environment required for this position


* HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered.


* Previous experience working with PLC's and VFD's strongly preferred,


* Mig and Stick welding experience


* Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills


* Knowledge of electrical testing equipments, skilled in use of standard mechanical hand tools.


* Strong communication skills required
