* BS Degree in Engineering


* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications


* Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment

This position is location in Whitehall, MI at the new core plant.

Initial travel to Morristown, TN to learn process will be required.

Job Responsibilities:


* Develop and improve core forming processes


* Collaborate with maintenance, automation, and manufacturing on machine functionality and press outputs


* Establish process critical TPM criteria


* Define critical to quality process metrics and establish working tolerances


* Train press specialists on critical process metrics


* Drive yield improvement initiatives with core engineers in the forming processes


* Connect forming process metrics to overall yield and throughput


* Assist in the implementation of quality programs


* Participate in continuous improvement projects for both yield and productivity


* Review and monitoring of core quality metrics


* Coordinate with compound process owner on impacts of material to the forming process


* % Scrap produced, quality standard


* Prepare periodic reports on the activities carried out


* Review and prepare Core forming area procedures.
