Quality Technician - Document Control (Chittenango, NY)

CPP Syracuse is currently looking for a Quality Technician - Document/Records Systems Administrator to join our team!

The position is responsible for the CPP-Syracuse document control function.

Compiles and maintains control records and related files to release customer drawings, specifications, and engineering documents to manufacturing and other departments.

Develops, writes, and edits material for reports, manuals, operating procedures, work instructions, and quality systems documentation.

Actively supports additional quality system functions such as internal audits, vetting and approving site visitors, vendor qualification, etc.

Location: Chittenango, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hourly: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour, but will be evaluated depending on candidates' knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Job Functions:


* Receives, initiates review process and maintains documents such as customer drawings and specifications into the Quality Document Control System.


* Creating IMS documents (i.e., work instructions) and editing revisions


* Posts changes to computerized or manual control records, releases documents, and notifies affected departments.


* Maintains Intellectual Property and International Trade in Arms Regulations System.


* Maintains the Quality Manual and Operating Procedures/Work Instructions System.


* Responds to customer requests for Quality Systems-related material.


* Maintains Records Retention System.


* Maintains CPP-Syracuse Organization Chart


* Maintains the CPP-Syracuse Approved Vendor List.


* Compiles and sends Quality Certification packages to our external customers.


* Conducts quality audits


* Provides Vision testing for new hires and conducts annual vision verifications


* Facilitating quality training - new hire, annual, etc.

Qualifications:

Ability to work independently, multi-task under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining positive working relationships with individuals inside and outside the organization.

Fast learner and flexible.

Excellent computer and analytical skills.

Working knowledge Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively relate information to all levels of management in various departments.
