Senior Protection Engineer

What will you do?


* Has strong experience in Control Relay Panel & Remote Terminal Unit design, switchgear automation, electrical power system studies, and electrical distribution design, as well as Protection Relay configuration & testing (including testing commissioning and testing in Lab/Interoperability/RTDS test).


* Has strong understanding and experience in standard protocol used in automation (Modbus, IEC61850, DNP3, IEC101, IEC104), configure and prepare CID and SCL files for Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs), test the correctness of the files and the configuration to ensure that the IED could send/receive the communication data to/from the Master, using communication simulator.


* Able to perform operating system and workstation/server administration configuration (Windows and Linux based)


* Has knowledge of cybersecurity and experience constructing secure networks configuration and network monitoring (VLAN, Routing, redundancy, IP management)


* Has knowledge on various protections system operation like Feeder Protection, Differential Protection, Distance Protection, Busbar Protection, Circuit Breaker Failure Protection, Generator Protection, Motor Protection applications, on various voltage level applications.


* Develop complex Logic functions inside IED to comply with client needs


* Familiar with IEC & ANSI standards


* Familiar with Customer Standards and Specifications (Indonesia and Global)


* Familiar with numerical relays Schneider, ABB, Siemens, Alstom, GE, etc.

Requiermens



* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering


* 5-10 years' experience as Protection Engineer


* Able to translate project specification and requirement and develop into complete solution design (System Architecture, Bill of Materials, Panel Drawing, Installation Documents: Layout Drawing, Cable Schedule Drawing, Point Schedule, etc.) using MS Visio and CAD (or other drawing software).


* Able to lead engineering activities (including creating and maintaining project schedule of technical scope) from the beginning stage of the project until the completion of the project and coordinate/communicate with all stakeholders (Internal, Customer, Vendor, Subcontractor, etc.).

Also providing technical support/guide to the team on site (including installation team), as well as sharing knowledge to the other team members.


* Able to work under pressure, multitasking (parallel working on some projects) while maintaining good quality output.


* Able to communicate clearly with all stakeholders and fluent in English (speaking and writing).


* Good documentation skill (mastering good documentation practice).


* Technical advice during pre-sale engineering (tendering) consulting


* Education of/Consultation with internal/external stakeholders


* Anticipates and communicates project risks and implements mitigation strategies.
