Most of new production operators kick-start their journey in the Smelter "Potroom", although we may have other production positions available.

 

What You'll Do:

While the exact duties may vary based on the area hired into, you may be expected to:


* Utilize heavy equipment for manufacturing and shipping our products.


* Handle heavy machinery, including forklifts and cranes, ensuring precision and safety in all operations.


* Execute specialized tasks with a keen eye for quality and strict adherence to safety guidelines.

What Qualifies You:


* High School diploma or GED is required.  AN UPDATED RESUME AND  HIGH SCHOOL/GED DIPLOMA MUST BE UPLOADED TO THIS APPLICATION.

If you have had a gap in employment, please note this on your resume. 


* Must be able to perform physically demanding work activities under high temperature conditions. 


* Candidates must successfully pass a skills aptitude, physical, drug test and background check. 


* Must be at least 18 years of age

Additional Information on Work Hours and Environment:


* You must be willing and able to work rotating shifts and continuous schedules.  Mandatory overtime may also be required.


* Typical work environment involves primarily indoor work with exposure to hot and cold weather and extreme non-weather-related heat is frequent.

 


* This application is for the employment pool.  Those accepted to the pool will be kept on file for 12 months.


* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Standard rate: $26.87 USD per hour

You may be eligible for variable performance pay, overtime, premium pay, and additional payments per the collective bargaining agreement provisions.
