Structural Engineer

Ardurra is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team in Sacramento, CA!

We are looking for an engineer with experience in detailed design of bridges and miscellaneous roadway structures to support a wide range of projects.

Projects will include but are not limited to minor and major/complex roadway bridges and interchanges and will offer the opportunity to mentor and guide junior staff and be mentored by some of the top local experts in the transportation industry. 

Job Summary

Performs detailed phases of structural engineering work for projects ranging from moderate to complex.

The candidate must be fully competent in conventional aspects of structural engineering and be capable of planning and conducting tasks requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard structural engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Primary Duties


* Perform analysis and detailed design of structural projects, including but not limited to bridges and miscellaneous civil related structures, which conform with acceptable design standards, and which meet the specific requirements of local and state compliancy and regulations.


* Prepare and review engineering calculations, sketches, and drawings and BIM Models.


* Be able to work on multiple projects and assume responsibility for project/task execution within required timeframes.


* Perform and assist in QA/QC of final design packages prior to issuing for construction.


* Communicate with staff and clients to provide timelines and project updates on a consistent basis.


* Providing both written and verbal reports to tight deadlines regarding multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications


* A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college .


* EIT is strongly desired and PE is a plus.


* 1 to 5 years of project experience of progressive complexity in Structural Engineering, bridge emphasis is strongly desired.


* Proven proficiency utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment.


* Proficiency with CAD software is strongly desired.

Salary Range

$78,000 to $105,000 (DOE)
