Role Overview

Pacific Coast Post Acute is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist (OTR) specializing in Hand Therapy to join our premier rehabilitation team.

This specialized role is designed for a clinician with advanced expertise in treating complex upper extremity conditions.

You will work within our state-of-the-art rehab gym, utilizing specialized equipment and ADL suites to restore function and improve the quality of life for residents recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities



* Specialized Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of the hand and upper extremity, including strength, range of motion, sensation, and functional use.


* Advanced Treatment: Implement evidence-based hand therapy protocols for post-surgical cases, fractures, tendon injuries, and nerve compressions.


* Orthotic Fabrication: Design and fit custom splints or orthotics as needed to protect healing tissue and improve function.


* Functional Integration: Utilize our ADL suite to bridge the gap between clinical hand exercises and real-world daily tasks.


* Collaboration: Provide expert consultation to the broader interdisciplinary team regarding upper extremity rehabilitation and preventative care.

Qualifications



* Current, valid Occupational Therapist (OTR) License in the state of California.


* Specialization: Proven experience or certification in Hand Therapy (CHT preferred, but not required with significant hand-specialty experience).


* Clinical Excellence: Proficiency in manual therapy, custom splinting, and specialized upper extremity wound care.
