Director, Manufacturing Engineering

Reports to: Senior Vice President, Operations, and Transformation

Manufacturing Facilities

The Director of Manufacturing Engineering provides enterprise leadership for manufacturing process excellence, automation, and asset reliability across Overhead Door Corporation's U.S.

manufacturing footprint.

This role is responsible for developing and executing a unified manufacturing engineering and maintenance strategy that enables world-class productivity, equipment uptime, and technological advancement.

The leader will integrate engineering, maintenance, and facilities functions under a single vision - driving automation, digitalization, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) within the OHD Lean Operating System.

This position blends strategic system design with hands-on execution, ensuring that process capability, reliability, and cost effectiveness improve year over year across all sites.


* Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (master's preferred).


* 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or operations leadership.


* Demonstrated success implementing automation and TPM in multi-site manufacturing environments.


* Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams through large-scale transformation initiatives.


* Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, reliability engineering, and digital factory technologies (MES, IoT, robotics).


* Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.


* Experience in building products, industrial equipment, or discrete manufacturing preferred.


* Willingness to travel up to 50% across U.S.

manufacturing sites.
