Architect - Life and Work Places

Our Life and Work Places design team delivers tailored solutions for workplaces, community-focused and multi-family residential developments, Higher Education and Research Institutions, and Civic and Cultural buildings providing value for our clients and the people who experience these places.

Responsibilities:


* Exhibits core values: Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Commitment


* Perform work on all phases of various architectural projects including conceptual ideation and preparation of presentation material, development of selected designs, design and drawing reviews, coordination, and correlation of construction drawings.


* Prepare schematics, design development, and construction documents.

Develop, modify, and review production drawings and edit project narratives and specifications.


* Research materials to determine the appropriate selection for the project.


* Plan, coordinate, and deliver projects from the initial programming stages through to construction administration.


* Review construction submittals and assist the project manager in construction administration.


* Analyze client problems and develop architectural solutions to those problems.


* Demonstrates advanced knowledge of project complexity to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.


* Develops creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team.


* Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.


* Understands applicable codes and can apply knowledge to a project.


* Working knowledge of typical project delivery methods and strives to anticipate task/project workflows associated with standard deliverables to maintain overall project budget and schedule.


* Communicates openly and proactively with partners, consultants, the team and the designated team leader.


* Has strong rendering and visualization skills.

Minimum Qualifications:


* Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture with licensure.


* Minimum of 8 years applicable experience in large Corporate/ Commercial design projects


* Demonstrated experience using REVIT, proficiency is required


* Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.


* Ability to interact professionally and comfortably with a variety of project stakeholders such as clients, AHJ's, contractors, design team, etc.


* Strong verbal and writing communication skills


* Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with project stakeholders.


* Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Lumion, and other modeling software such as Grasshopper and Rhino.
