Position Summary

The Admissions Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and efficient admission process for new residents.

This position is responsible for coordinating admissions, maintaining accurate records, and serving as a key liaison between residents, families, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities (Summary):


* Coordinate and manage resident admissions, transfers, and discharges


* Interview residents and/or families to obtain required admission information and signatures


* Prepare and maintain accurate admission and identification records


* Track and maintain current bed availability and resident census


* Provide admission packets and review resident rights and privacy information


* Communicate effectively with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to ensure a smooth admission process


* Maintain confidentiality of all resident and protected health information


* Inventory resident valuables and ensure proper documentation


* Build positive working relationships across departments

Qualifications:


* High school diploma or GED required


* Previous healthcare admissions or administrative experience preferred


* Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills


* Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion


* Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail
