A little taste of your day-to-day
This is a crucial role building and leading a team dedicated to delivering incredible dining experiences.
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
●Assisting in the preparation of a diverse range of meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special menu items, adhering to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
●Overseeing and manage kitchen stations
●Coordinating and communicate effectively with other staff to maintain a smooth flow of service
●Maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene
●Working with all culinary team members to achieve overall culinary goals
●Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
●Assisting in the monitoring and controlling inventory
●Conducting regular quality control checks to ensure the freshness, taste, and appearance of food items.
●Collaborating with the front-of-house staff to ensure efficient food delivery and guest satisfaction.
●Participating in culinary competitions, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
What we need from you
●Formal qualifications and demonstrated experience working in a similar role in a busy restaurant or hotel.
●Sound working knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
●Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
●The ability to work efficiently under pressure and to prioritize tasks effectively.
●Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and staff.
