IT Product Owner

By joining DHL Global Forwarding, Freight Norway, you will become part of a team of approximately 130 colleagues, located at Berger and Larvik, working closely together to deliver air, ocean and road freight solutions to customers across a wide range of industries.

For our team at Berger, we are looking for an IT Product Owner to lead the daily support, development and continuous improvement of some our most mission-critical digital systems, including our Transport Management System (TMS) and Customs systems.

You will work closely with local and regional stakeholder and business owners to define priorities, ensure high-quality delivery, and maximize product value in a complex IT-landscape.

The position will be located at Berger.

Key responsibilities


* Own and manage daily support of IT products in scope (service management)


* Debug and solve integration issues


* Own and manage the product backlog for the TMS, Customs system, and related digital products.


* Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, develop, and deliver solutions.


* Analyze user feedback, performance data, and process bottlenecks to drive improvements.


* Ensure smooth communication between super users, business stakeholders, operations, customs specialists, and support & development teams.


* Support release planning, testing, and change management activities.

·       Optimize and Automate: Use technology and data to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
 

Qualifications


* Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role within IT or digital product support and development.


* Understanding of logistics processes, TMS platforms, or customs workflows is an advantage.


* Ability to translate operational and regulatory needs into structured requirements.


* Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and modern software delivery practices is a must.


* Strong communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.


* Relevant education in IT, engineering, business, or equivalent experience.


* You must have a valid work-permit to work in Norway in order to apply to this position.
