IT Database Administrator II - Assessor/Clerk Recorder

The Riverside County's Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder has an opportunity for an IT Database Administrator II (IT DBA II) for their location in Riverside, CA.

The IT DBA II will primarily utilize Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or newer to install, monitor and implement Microsoft SQL Server database solutions.

They will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining backup solutions including disaster recovery scenarios, database performance, user security, and data imports.

Additionally, they will oversee the interaction with other databases and their functionality and assist with the conceptual design of new data warehousing conceptual models for large enterprise systems.

The incumbent will also be tasked with creating SQL Server databases, tables, views, stored procedures and functions to support in-house and 3rd party applications and data repositories.

The most competitive candidates will have:


* Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.


* Data modeling experience, including logical, conceptual, and physical model development for large-scale enterprise data systems.


* Experience in building Data warehousing conceptual models utilizing multiple database administrations, preferably within AWS My SQL.


* Strong Knowledge of SolarWinds and PowerShell


* Working experience with Microsoft Power BI

Required Experience and Education: Candidates must have a completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university within a major listed under the positions minimum qualifications, experience in Microsoft SQL Server database administration and management, experience with AWS MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL RDS, and Aurora databases, and working within a public, nonprofit or large scale organization for the integration of large enterprise systems.

The Assessor is responsible for locating, identifying and valuing all taxable property in Riverside County.

The Recorder is responsible for providing the public with constructive notice of private acts and creating and maintaining custody of permanent records for all documents filed and recorded in Riverside County.

The County Clerk services range from issuing marriage licenses and performing marriage ceremonies to accepting filings of Fictitious Business Name Statements.

The Records Management Archives Program (RMAP) unit provides professional records management services and the Archives Program provides public access to the history of Riverside County.
