Automation and Controls Engineer

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:


* Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline field, preferably Mechanical or Robotics Engineering


* Experience in automation and control systems in a manufacturing or production environment


* Utilize CAD and 3D printing technologies effectively.


* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

* Ability to maintain technical documentation.


* Ability to train production personnel to utilize automated processes.

Preferred Qualifications:


* Strong analytical and organizational skills.


* Analyze existing processes to identify opportunities for automation and optimization


* Experience with electrical systems.


* Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, engineers, and developers, to ensure successful project execution.


* Familiarity with PLC controls (Rockwell Automation, Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and SCADA platforms (Ignition and Wonderware).


* Familiarity ladder logic for a control scheme.


* Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, VBA, and SQL.


* Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
