✨ Position Overview

The Admissions Director plays a key role in supporting facility operations by driving census growth, coordinating the admissions process, and ensuring residents, families, and referral partners receive exceptional service.

This role also supervises the admissions team and collaborates closely with clinical and administrative departments.
? What You'll Do

As our Admissions Director, your responsibilities will include:

Admissions Management & Census Growth


* Lead the full admissions process to ensure smooth, timely, and positive experiences for residents and families.


* Manage daily operations of the Admissions Department, ensuring census goals and efficiency standards are met.


* Screen applicants by reviewing medical information, interviewing residents/families, and confirming admission criteria.


* Oversee bed assignments, preliminary paperwork, and financial responsibility forms.


* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of facility services to educate referral sources and support appropriate placement.

Resident, Family & Referral Communication


* Serve as the primary liaison for residents, families, hospitals, social workers, and discharge planners.


* Create a welcoming, supportive, warm atmosphere for new residents and families.


* Coordinate physical, social, and logistical needs, including transportation and service requirements.


* Address questions with compassion, clarity, and professionalism.

Collaboration & Coordination


* Work closely with the Director of Nursing, Case Manager, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate admissions and smooth transitions.


* Attend daily stand-up meetings to support communication and care alignment.


* Maintain accurate tracking of bed availability and resident intake progress.


* Support outreach events, including health fairs, educational programs, and community engagement activities.

Administrative & Compliance


* Ensure insurance benefits align with admission standards.


* Maintain complete, accurate documentation, always protecting resident privacy and PHI.


* Uphold facility standards related to safety, infection control, and emergency protocols.
