Warehouse Supervisor

Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced automotive/manufacturing environment.  This role ensures accurate inventory control, proper organization of materials, safe-material handling practices, and efficient support to production.  The Warehouse Supervisor leads and develops a team, promotes safety, and maintains a clean, organized warehouse aligned with company and industry standards.

 

Job Duties



* Coordinate and monitor daily warehouse tasks including receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and material replenishment.


* Ensure accuracy in inventory transactions and resolve discrepancies through investigation and corrective action.


* Maintain proper organization, labeling, and cleanliness of warehouse storage areas.


* Support production by ensuring timely delivery of materials to the line.


* Maintain a logical warehouse layout that supports efficient material flow.


* Ensure all materials are clearly labeled and stored in correct locations based on SKU, size, and usage frequency.


* Assign and enforce standardized slotting locations within the warehouse and ERP system.


* Maintain FIFO processes to ensure proper material rotation.


* Use 5S and visual management to uphold a clean and orderly environment.


* Conduct regular audits to optimize space utilization and workflow.


* Assign daily tasks and oversee warehouse associates and forklift operators.


* Train employees on warehouse processes, ERP usage, and equipment operation.


* Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity; provide coaching or correction as needed.


* Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.


* Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.


* Identify opportunities to improve layout, efficiency, and workflow.


* Support lean initiatives including 5S, standardized work, and waste reduction.


* Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and automotive manufacturing requirements.


* Conduct daily safety checks, forklift inspections, and monitor use of PPE.


* Maintain a 5S-focused, hazard-free warehouse environment.


* Assist in incident investigation and implementation of corrective actions.


* The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Environmental Management System (EMS) as stated in EMS policy CEVPL.00005.


* The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Quality Management System (QMS) as stated in CQAM.00001 – Corporate Quality Manual.

 

Requirements


* 2-4 years of warehouse, material-handling or inventory experience


* Experience in automotive or manufacturing environment.
