Commis 1 (Arabic cuisine)- InterContinental Bahrain

A Little Taste of Your Day-to-Day

No two days are alike, but you’ll mostly be:


* Prepare and cook Arabic dishes under the supervision of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.


* Ensure all mise en place is ready before each service period.


* Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation according to hotel standards.


* Uphold the authenticity of traditional Arabic recipes while supporting menu innovation.


* Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.


* Ensure ingredients are properly stored, rotated, and handled.


* Maintain cleanliness and organization in the colleagues’ kitchen.


* Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.


* Take on additional tasks as required, showing flexibility and teamwork.

What We Need from You


* At least 2 year of experience as a Commis in a 5 star hotel


* Passion for cooking and knowledge of Arabic cuisine.


* Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.


* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


* Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.


* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
