Quality Technician- Fabrication - 1st Shift

Schneider Electric is seeking an Quality Technician for 1st shift to join our team in Mt Juliet, TN.

This role is responsible for performing product testing within the fabrication department to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.

What will your responsibilties be?


* Measure parts throughout each process of Fabrication to guarantee parts meet quality standards, identify abnormalities and keep records of inspections


* Collaborate with Engineering to identify issues and problem solve


* Follow applicable Job Breakdown sheets (JBSs) and Testing Procedures, monitor and report issues as they are identified in the Fabrication production floor


* Prepare detailed inspection reports and failure records while meeting project deadlines with a strong customer focus


* Utilize measurement equipment and maintain them in good conditions - such as calipers, digital tape measures, micrometers


* Wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment and maintain it in good condition.

Immediately report hazards, incidents, and accidents to supervisors.


* Adhere to Provincial HS&E legislation, regulations, and company policies



* High school diploma or GED required.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

without company sponsorship and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.


* Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality roles


* Proficient in using measurement equipment including but not limited to; calipers, digital tape measures, micrometers


* Validate and correct existing technical documents, including test procedures


* Capable of managing technical tasks with minimal supervision


* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret schematics (engineering drawings)


* Computer proficient with excellent organizational skills


* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective collaboration


* Previous experience in Fabrication and assembly is a plus

Basic Requirements:


* PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required; safety shoes and safety glasses must be worn on the production floor


* Work is performed in a Manufacturing Environment, where prolonged period(s) of standing is required for duration of shift.


* Requires ability to reach overhead, pull, push, bend, squat, and climb a ladder to perform work.


* Ability to lift 26 pounds occasionally or 22 pounds independently and repetitively.
