Child Life Holiday Temp

Job Description Summary

This is a temporary holiday position for late November, December and the beginning of January.

This position will assist the Child Life Department with greeting and thanking community donors; as well as transporting, sorting and packing toy donations.

Primary Responsibilities:


* Greeting people with a warm welcome, acknowledging one another with eye contact and smile


* Orienting volunteers that are staffing the Donation table


* Thanking donors for their donation, generosity, thoughtfulness, etc.


* Administer, collect and sign the Gift In-kind Donation form and ensure information is complete


* Assisting with loading, transporting, and unloading the toy donations


* Enlisting the help and support of the Child Life staff members on donation duty or within the department as needed


* Organizing and sorting of toys based on categorization sheet (e.g.

playroom versus give away, gender, age, varying price ranges for toy shop, etc), including assessment of the toys (new versus used, appropriate for hospital use, etc)


* Inventory and pack toys for long-term storage

Requirements:

High School graduate.

Child Life experience preferred.
