2nd shift - Warehouse Assistant Supervisor

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


* Job supervises a team.


* Job leads/supervises/manages 4-15 employees.


* Oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution.

Assists the Supervisor with the responsibility of meeting safety, quality, and production goals


* Primary responsibility includes maintaining accurate inventory within plants SAP system.


* Oversee the accurate and timely data entry of all warehouse and related activities into software applications and databases (i.e.

SAP); ensure that users adhere to established internal controls.


* Manage FEFO of raw material and FIFO of finished goods utilizing using SAP Warehouse Management system.


* from unexpected variances in outbound finished good shipments.


* Ensure proper Quality and GMP protocols are adhered to.


* Participate in any audits, internal or external, as required by providing relevant information about warehousing processes, practices, or data.


* Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills:


* 5-10 years of experience in related field is preferred.


* Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.


* Proven work experience working in warehouse management in a food manufacturing or similar environment where some materials have a short shelf life.


* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


* Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage staff and develop others.


* Hands on experience and proven ability to understand and use enterprises resource planning software (SAP) in all phases of manufacturing and in particular automated warehouse systems.


* Forklift experience preferred.


* Ability to mentor and coach individuals and identify short- and long-term development needs and provide appropriate support.


* Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time using effective organizational skills and judgment in an environment of frequently changing circumstances

Preferred Education:


* High school or equivalent Associate degree or trade certificate preferred.

Work Environment:


* Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, and people.


* Work conditions are typical of a food manufacturing facility.


* This role does not require any domestic travel


* Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds


* Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.


* Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours.
