Resident Engagement Assistant

Job Summary
Maintains an environment that supports a culture of engagement based on Brookdale's Engagement Philosophy.

Creates an environment using a person-centered approach starting with positive perceptions of aging while building relationships and connections.

Essential Functions
1.

Supports an innovative, continuous culture reflective of adults served, while leveraging engagement's fundamental concepts and points of difference.

Assists in cultivating person-centered engagement that is meaningful to the individual by learning and understanding each resident's unique interests and desires.
2.

Incorporates elements of spontaneity daily, as appropriate, while continuously looking for opportunities to bridge social connections and create friendships amongst residents.

Shares knowledge of residents' unique preferences to support engagement opportunities.
3.

Assists in implementing resident experience and welcome protocols.

Supports a culture of partnership with sales and leadership team to include intentional prospect-resident connections.
4.

Supports community operations by working to achieve the highest level of resident experience and satisfaction.
5.

Collaborates with the Resident Engagement team to coordinate and execute special events at the community including, but not limited to, holiday, family, Friends for Life, educational, and other marketing events.
6.

Facilitates meaningful opportunities for resident engagement outside the community, which may include driving a community vehicle.
7.

Follows the Brookdale Excellence Standards Tool (BEST) and appropriate state, federal, and other regulations related to resident programming and engagement.
8.

Creates and assists with communication materials to ensure they are of professional quality.
9.

Supports social media content to align with Brookdale's culture, brand, and social media guidance as assigned and in accordance with Brookdale standards.
10.

Where applicable, collaborates and partners between service lines to optimize a culture of engagement reaching all areas of the campus.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required; one to three months related experience and/or training is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and other Special Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license and may be required to obtain a commercial driver's license based on the needs of the community.
