Safety Manager

Job Description

As the DC Safety Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for all things safety within your distribution center.

From onboarding new team members with essential safety training to conducting injury investigations and facility inspections, you'll be the driving force behind a safer, smarter workplace.

You'll collaborate with regional teams, support stores serviced by your DC, and even step in to manage physical and personnel security when needed.

This role is hands-on, data-driven, and mission-critical-perfect for someone who's ready to lead with purpose and precision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage safety training programs: new hire, powered industrial equipment, post-accident retraining, annual refreshers, and regional awareness sessions
• Conduct thorough accident and injury investigations, including reenactments and corrective action planning
• Analyze injury trends and develop site-specific action plans to reduce incident rates
• Perform regular facility safety inspections and hazard identification walkthroughs
• Provide safety support and injury analysis to regions serviced by your DC
• Collaborate with Regional staff to promote proactive safety strategies for District and Store Managers
• Lead safety-related project development, testing, and evaluation
• Oversee property protection systems including fire alarms, pumps, and sprinkler maintenance
• Step in to manage physical and personnel security in the absence of the Loss Prevention Manager

Qualifications

What We're Looking For
• 5-7 years of experience in Loss Prevention or Occupational Health & Safety
• Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory compliance standards
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• A hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about safety

You'll Go the Extra Mile If You Have
• Associate's degree or equivalent formal training in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
• Experience conducting injury trend analysis and implementing data-driven safety solutions
• Familiarity with fire prevention systems and facility protection programs
• A knack for training and engaging diverse teams in safety culture
• Comfort working on the floor and identifying real-time hazards
• A proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
