Summary

GeneralAccountant is responsible of assuring, reviewing and reconciliating generalledger (GL) transactions and recordings for US and MX books validating that therecordings and calculations are made accordingly to both countries accountingrules.

Position Responsibilities:



* Preparesreconciliations of the asset and liabilities balance accounts from currentaccounting period to last period / year reconciling the General Ledger balanceswith support documentation.

This includes but not limited to accruals, banksand cash, sales, travel, payroll and fixed assets.


* Preparesfinancial information for US and MX Statutory closing.

Stay in constantcommunication with peers in US corporate office to attend any question andsolve small questions arising.

Follow up US and MX end of period accountingclosure and GL records reviews, updates, reconciliations and changes


* Handles theconciliations of the general ledger (GL), mainly advance payments and accrualsfor Mexico companies.

Analyzes and explains the variances, between Plan andReal of the accounts in the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.


* Creates andelaborates accounting procedures and internal controls as required to ensureall transactions are recorded correctly and timely in both general ledgersystems and supports on internal and external audit for US and MEX GAAP.


* Assistswith any special projects required by supervisor, manager or other relatedareas and verifies new procedures, automations, new financial IT tools andsystems implementations when applicable.

* Level ofFormal Education:A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.


* Area ofStudy:Accounting


* Years ofExperience:One to two years.


* Type of Experience:Generalaccounting

Qualifications

Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.

Area of Study: Accounting

Years of Experience: One to two years.

Type of Experience: General accounting, Treasury, Accounts receivable/payable.

Special Certifications or Technical Skills: MS Office knowledge

Other/Preferred: Intermediate to advanced computer and english skills.

Strong internal customer focus and communication skills, detail oriented, analytical and ability to get results through collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
