Clinical Field Trainer
$62,000 - 66,000 /Yr.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Location: Skokie; Rogers Park
The Clinical Field Trainer will provide training, coaching, and in-vivo support to Trilogy staff through New Staff Orientation, regularly scheduled internal continuing education opportunities, 1:1 job skills training to clinical staff and group training to clinical teams as requested.
They will support the team to develop new educational materials and update current materials.
The Clinical Field Trainer will coordinate with program leaders during the clinical onboarding process to help employees meet identified milestones for job skill development. They will play a key role in welcoming new employees to the organization and emphasize the importance of upholding Trilogy's core values and philosophy of care in their work.
They support new and current staff to facilitate engagement and building relationships with clients as well as meeting expectations of their roles.
Responsibilities:
* Design and update in-person and electronic trainings to ensure employee competency/compliance, and enhance knowledge about client centered, strengths based, trauma informed, harm reduction, and evidence-based approaches and practices.
* Deliver trainings during new hire orientation; conduct 1:1 and team/program-based trainings as requested for new and current staff utilizing evidence-based practices such as: Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Recovery Model, and Trauma-informed Care.
* Conduct virtual/in-person trainings for various audiences including specific teams, departments or agency-wide.
* Makes improvements to the training process to fill identified training gaps and assist employees with training needs/questions.
* Employ a variety of training techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to maximum effectiveness of trainings delivered.
* May become certified to facilitate CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention trainings, etc.
for employees.
* Cultivate positive professional working relationships with teams, leadership, and new employees to ensure training of newest information is communicated at time of onboarding.
* Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner; and communicate effectively and appropriately to others about potential organization issues.
* Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field required
* Demonstrated work experience and in-depth knowledge of a community behavioral health direct service role
* Thorough knowledge of organization team workflows, documentation requirements, scheduling, and systems
* Strong clinical documentation and assessment skills
* In-depth knowledge of CareLogic, effective clinical note writing skills, and IM-CANS.
