Agency/GSE Screener - Vice President

As part of our Screening Team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the firm's multifamily housing goals by to assist the team and the GSE's in solving real-world challenges that impact our company, customers and communities.

As a Screening Vice President within the Screening Team, you will leverage credit training, data analysis, loan structuring, and client management for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Affordable multifamily loans to pre-screen the creditworthiness of clients, properties, and markets and assist Bankers with getting new loans under application.
Job Responsibilities:
* Utilize preliminary underwriting skills and knowledge of Fannie Mae MAH and Freddie Mac TAH underwriting guidelines and pricing, to independently size loans and author concise, thoughtful analysis of transactions using appropriate structure while identifying key risks at the pre-application stage
* Work proactively with Banking team to ensure timely quotes and terms are delivered to the client
* Work with internal and external cohorts to ensure efficient and quick progression of deal intake through application
* Analyze due diligence documents and develop comprehensive understanding of collateral, cash flow, sponsor, and market risks for quote submissions prior to loan application
* Work through affordable transactions including but not limited to, Tax Exempt Bonds/4% LIHTC, Taxable/9% LIHTC, Preservation; Immediate and Forwards.
* Contribute to platform infrastructure and processes through special projects
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
* BS or advanced degree with business focus
* Minimum of 3+ years experience in commercial real estate which should include pre-application Affordable screening experience and GSE quote submissions
* CRE Multifamily Affordable knowledge
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
* Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac systems and applications
* Experience in using CLOSER (Commercial Loan Origination Securitization Enterprise Reporting) system
